Hey, I’m Binh Nguyen.
If you know me today, you might see a guy who co-founded and ran a company that generated millions of dollars in revenue.
But that’s not where my story began. Not even close.
My story started in the muddy rice fields of a poor village in Quang Binh, Vietnam.
The Grind is My Default Setting
Let’s be real: life wasn’t easy. My family were farmers, and we were among the poorest in a village where everyone was already struggling.
“Hard work” wasn’t a motivational quote on a poster; it was the air we breathed. I watched my parents and older brothers work tirelessly every single day, just for a chance to escape poverty.
That work ethic was drilled into me early. While other kids were just being kids, I was out in the fields, doing a farmer’s work since I was in primary school.
That grind never stopped, and honestly, I’m thankful for it. It taught me a lesson no school ever could: nothing is given, everything is earned.
That relentless effort from my family paid off in one crucial way: it got me and my brothers into university. It was my ticket out.
The Unexpected Training Ground
When I moved to the beautiful city of Da Nang for university in 2011, I didn’t waste a second. I started tutoring, then did odd jobs like selling Oriflame products and working in coffee shops.
I even landed a coveted part-time job at KFC, which had surprisingly high standards for a “fast food” gig back then.
But my life truly changed when I got a job at the most famous Italian restaurant in the city.
I started as a delivery guy. But I was hungry. Within two years, I worked my way up from delivery to server, and then to Restaurant Manager.
I stayed there for nearly 6 years, and that place became my entire world. It was more than a restaurant; it was the best business school I could have asked for.
- I became fluent in English in just 3 months because I had to.
- I learned how to manage a team and run operations so well that both staff and customers rated me as excellent.
- Most importantly, I learned about people. This restaurant was a hub for the elite—CEOs, presidents, supercar owners. And they didn’t just see me as a manager; they saw me as a friend. They respected my work ethic and my ability to deliver value. I received countless job offers—from managing at a 5-star resort to a position with Cathay Pacific—but I knew my path was different.
The First Taste of the Digital World
Even while managing the restaurant and briefly working an office job for the Lotte Group, my mind was already exploring other worlds.
During 2015 and 2016, I even took on an internship at the prestigious real estate firm Savills to absorb how a completely different high-end market operated.
Back in 2015, this wasn’t just a brief dabble; it was the start of a 10-year journey into the world of Make Money Online (MMO) that ran in parallel to my ‘day jobs’.
I had my first taste of success with affiliate marketing through SEO and product launches, and also experimented with the Print on Demand (POD) world right when it was exploding.
While I had to pause these specific projects due to a packed schedule, the seed was planted. I had an intense passion for the digital world and knew, deep down, that’s where I belonged.
The Detour: Building a Multi-Million Dollar Company
In 2018, I left my jobs and took a leap. Together with three co-founders, I started a company in the POD space. While my heart was still with affiliate marketing, this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up—I was unemployed, low on capital, and POD was a hot market.
For the next six years, I was in the trenches, running the company. And we were successful.
I played a key role in generating millions of dollars in revenue. To operate at that scale, my daily life was a deep dive into countless digital tools.
From project management apps to complex analytics software, and more recently, leveraging a suite of AI tools to optimize our processes—I’ve tested, broken, and mastered more software than I can count.
I learned invaluable lessons about scaling a business, and yes, even how to navigate tough times when bad investments were made.
Coming Full Circle: The Birth of Binh Talks
In early 2025, I made a decision. I left the company I helped build to finally pursue the dream I had put on hold for nearly a decade: to go all-in on affiliate marketing.
Binh Talks was born from a decade of real-world, diverse experience.
My expertise isn’t theoretical or from just one job. It’s forged from a 10-year journey through multiple industries and business models—from service (F&B), to corporate (Lotte), to e-commerce and manufacturing (POD), and finally, to affiliate marketing.
This path forced me to use, test, and rely on hundreds of different apps, software, and AI tools to stay competitive. Now, I want to distill all of that hard-won knowledge for you.
My goal here is simple: to share what actually works. I want to give you the real-world, no-fluff advice that I wish I had when I started. I want to help you build your own version of success, faster.
I hope that by sharing what I know, I can bring some value to your journey and, in doing so, make my own life more meaningful.
Thank you for being here. Let’s build something great together.
